From their wedding website: “We appreciate donations of any amount to The David Benzer Strike Out Fear Foundation, a charity that is near to both mine and Adriane’s hearts. David Benzer and my dad, Bob, were close friends before my Dad passed away from oral squamous cell cancer a few years ago. David was also diagnosed with the same condition around the same time. Not only does David have a close connection with my father and cancer, my entire family are die-hard Giants fans, and David has spent most of his career as their home game camera man. A donation to David’s charity in our names would mean the world to us, and my Dad would certainly appreciate it.”

The foundation hosted a “Strike Out Fear Day” with the Giants on May 14, 2017 at AT&T Park to bring awareness to the community about our work and how to support people diagnosed with cancer. We produced a public service announcement video which played on the JumboTron and volunteers staffed the Giants’ Community Clubhouse booth before and during the game to talk one-on-one with fans and distribute foundation apparel.
