David was invited to speak at the Pacific Transportation Association’s (PTA) Annual Sports Luncheon on March 21, 2013 at L’Olivier Restaurant in San Francisco. Founded in 1920, the Pacific Transportation Association’s objective is to study transportation issues, to foster cooperation and understanding between shippers and carriers, and to assist in developing and maintaining efficient and economical transportation services to benefit the community at large. Additionally they donate to charitable associations and support a number of causes.
Over 80 members of the association listened to David’s talk about his life in sports television and how he formed the Torture Cancer Foundation to address the fear inherent in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Many of the members expressed interest in supporting the Foundation and participating in future events.
